GEC Shadow Advisory Board

What is a shadow board?

A shadow board is made up of young people to help diverse ideas and insights for an organisation. It also helps to understand the perspective and needs of those that might be blindsighted by older people.

Why apply for the GEC Shadow Board?

Too often diversity, equity, inclusion and sustainability is represented by old people. We want to smash this stereotype and as YOU - the future, our next generations - to advise us on our work, our focus and understand what we can do NOW to help you today. The GEC Shadow Board will initially focus on education - to help speak directly to schools and colleges to improve them for all students.

What do I need to do to apply?

Just click the button below, fill in the application form - and if you want to, you can submit additional multi-media for your evidence.

This could be a video (max 3 mins long) explaining why you want to be part of the GEC Shadow Advisory Board, what skills you can bring to the table, and why you are passionate about your chosen D&I topic. A video can be in any style (etc creative or formal). Please also refer to the examples you cited in the question above. You can also create images, audio or any multimedia form you wish. Note that we will share these materials on social media and our website.
